Short Course Announcement: OHTA Training W501 Measurement of Hazardous Substances

When:    Monday 12 April to Friday 16 April, 2021

Where:   Melbourne Training Room, Oakleigh , Victoria

Who:      Participants will be working in, or wanting to enter, the OH&S field, with an emphasis upon Occupational Hygiene project work, and may be requiring formal qualifications to advance within their project work.

Face to Face presentation, COVID –Safe practicesExtensive, relevant Practical Sessions, and casual discussion with practioners, available after each session IOHA , via BOHS, certification upon examination

Occupational Hygienists who have COH status are also eligible to gain COH points for their attendance and completion of the ICertOH modules.

CPD:      For each 5 day module COH’s will gain 1 point per day for a total of 5 points.

As an Occupational Hygiene Training Association (OHTA) Approved Training Provider, Eva and Associates is committed to providing courses which promote health and safety in general and Occupational Hygiene in particular, from Introductory to Specialist level, and enhance the OH&S workforce knowledge base.

In 2021 Eva and Associates are conducting The International Certificate in Occupational Hygiene (ICertOH), via a programmed series of Face to Face Training modules, over an eighteen [18] month period.

The ICertOH is accredited by both FAMANZ and the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygiene [AIOH], and provides the academic qualification that meets the requirements for Full Membership of FAMANZ and Certification [COH] within the AIOH.

To obtain the International Certificate, you must complete six modules, including four core subjects and two others chosen from three options:

Core subjects are:

  • W501 Measurement of Hazardous Substances
  • W503 Noise – Measurement and its Effects
  • W505 Control of Hazardous Substances
  • W507 Health Effects of Hazardous Substances

Optional subjects

  • W502 Thermal Environment
  • W504 Asbestos and Other Fibres
  • W506 Ergonomics Essentials

The Melbourne Training Centre is located in the suburb of Oakleigh, close to Public Transport from the city centre.
