Application for Technical Level Membership
Description
A person will be eligible to apply to be admitted as a Technical Member if he or she:
- has successfully completed any three of the BOHS Level 4 qualifications: P401, P402, P403, P404, P406, P408, S301, and W504; or
- has successfully completed any three of the following BOHS International Proficiency Qualifications; IP402, IP403, IP404, IP405; or
- has successfully completed one of the accredited courses CPCCDE3015A Remove Friable Asbestos (NZQA 29766), CPCCDE3014A Remove Non-Friable Asbestos (NZQA 29765), and CPCCBC4051A (NZQA 29767) Supervise Asbestos Removal; and
- has a minimum of three years’ experience at a professional level; and
- can demonstrate to the FAMANZ Board a level of competence required of a Technician Member.

What is Technical Level Membership?
This level of membership demostrates that applicants have a clear understanding of the asbestos profession through a nationally recognised qualification, or series of qualifications. It also demonstrates applicants have relevant skills and knowledge and are committed to professional development to ensure knowledge and skills remain current.
Technical Members are able to use FAMANZ post-nominal and access all the membership benefits and resources.
All Members are required to comply with the FAMANZ Code of Ethics.
